Valentine's Day ~ Table for Two Inspration

I am so excited to share this collaboration we worked on with Kelly's Bake Shoppe, Pirate Smile Design and Cloud nine photography.  I am one of those ladies that loves Valentine's day.  For me it's a day of celebrating the people whom I hold closets to my heart.  In the craziness of everyday life as a girl boss, mother, and wife it is easy to get caught up in my very long to do list.  On this commercial holiday of love, I embrace the opportunity to slow down, remind my self of my many fortunes and let my loved ones know how important they are to me. As a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, I am extremely grateful for the people I am on this journey of life with. For this style shoot I wanted to share with readers some of the little things I would do at home for my hubby and two little valentines.  Weather you use this inspiration for your next dinner party, gal gift or the sweet heart table, I hope you find inspiration and treat your valentines to a little something sweet.

XO, Jodi Leigh

Melanie & David ~ Married at Whistle Bear Golf Course

I first met Melanie while executing an onsite installation at Spencer's on the Waterfront.  Melanie was the coordinator at a wedding we had the pleasure of designing.  While working side by side, Melanie and I hit it off right away.  Our passion for design and attention to detail were a perfect match.  I was elated when Melanie contacted us just a few months later.   She let us know that it was her turn to say I DO and that she would love for the JLD team to help curate her beautiful wedding design.  Obviously, it was our pleasure.

Melanie's morning began with the girls getting ready at the prestigious Langdon Hall.  Once the glam sessions were complete, the luxurious grounds were the perfect setting for Melanie and David’s first look.  From Langdon Hall, the couple and their bridal party were off to enjoy their ceremony and reception at Whistle Bear Golf Club.  Melanie's vision for the club was to transform the space into an elegant garden inspired celebration.  To execute her vision, we used layers of luxurious linens, custom stationary, and glass charger plates.  The centrepieces that filled the room were overflowing with vibrant greenery and subtle pops of white floral.  The elements of the design created an intimate candle lit garden reception for over 300 of the couple’s closest family and friends.  Thank you to the lovely Kathy Demerchant for capturing the day and sharing these beautiful photos with our readers.

Alyson & Michael ~ Married at Westmount Golf and Country Club

After meeting Alyson and Michael their vision for a casual yet elegant garden party came together effortlessly.  At our initial design meeting, Alyson was wearing layers of monochromatic blush tones   and a nude Saint Laurent clutch with a gold chainlink strap.   It was her feminine style that inspired the palate for the design.  The tables were draped in soft blush tones and the garden centrepieces were complimented with gold accented flatware and glass chargers.  Greenery cascaded across the chandeliers in the ceiling  while a sea of white lanterns hovered overhead as guests danced the evening away. I am absolutely obsessed with how this wedding came together.

Danielle & Nathan ~ Married at Whistle Bear Golf Course

I can not tell you how much I enjoyed designing this beautiful wedding with Danielle, Nate and their families.  Each time we met it felt like a mini girls night in.  Nate was in tow for some of the meetings as the strong silent type and of course agreed with all of our decisions.  The family wanted to have a fall wedding which had a feeling of classic elegance.  Through the use of harvest tables, white pumpkins and raw linen runners the celebration whispered intimate fall wedding.  While the dripping greenery and pops of lush white flowers were the infusion of classic elegance throughout the reception and ceremony spaces.  I am very excited to share this couples day with you. Thank you to  Taylor Jackson for capturing the day through his very talented lens.
